MeT predicts "Severe Cold Wave " in Punjab; minimum temperatures to fall by 2-4 degrees Celsius in Northwest and Central India

<span style="color: #222222;">The Meteorological Department has said Cold Wave or Severe Cold Wave conditions will prevail in isolated or some parts of Punjab from today till 3rd of January. An intense Western Disturbance is likely to affect the Western Himalayan region during 4th to 7th of January with possibility of isolated heavy falls. The Met Office said the fall in minimum temperatures by 2-4 degrees Celsius will occur over most parts of Northwest and Central India during the next 24 hours and no significant change thereafter.<br />'' <br />'' Isolated to scattered rainfall or snowfall likely over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad & Himachal Pradesh on 1st to 3rd January 2022.<br />''<br />''Light to moderate scattered to widespread rainfall with an isolated thunderstorm, lightning, and hailstorm likely over Arunachal Pradesh and Assam and Meghalaya today and dry weather over the region thereafter.</span>
