The MeT department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfalls at a few places over coastal Tamil Nadu and Puducherry in the next 48 hours. The department in a statement said, a low pressure area formed over southwest Bay of Bengal off Sri Lanka coast will move northwestwards and concentrate into a depression during next 24 hours. It will intensify further into a deep depression and cross Tamil Nadu coast between Pamban and Nagapattinam tomorrow morning. <br/><br/>The weatherman has predicted that squally wind speed reaching 50 to 60 km per hour gusting to 70 km per hour would prevail along and off the coast till tomorrow. Sea condition would be rough to very rough along and off Tamil Nadu and Puducherry coast and fishermen are advised not to venture into sea.
