Met dept predicts heavy rains in TN & Pudducherry

The Met department has predicted isolated heavy rain in Tamil Nadu and Pudducherry during the next 48 hours.Widespread rains throughout the coastal districts of Tamilnadu have brought enough inflow to the reservoirs in the State. Ramanathapuram recorded the highest amount of 16 cm rainfall on Thursday followed by Cuddalore and Tuticorin with 9 cm each. The popular Kutralam water falls in Tirunelveli district was closed due to heavy rains in the western ghat region.Forecast say that a low pressure area off the west coast over the south east coast off Arabian Sea may also intensify bringing more rainfall.
