Indian Metrological Department has prepared an elaborate plan to provide world-class meterological services during the Commonwealth Games. According to IMD's release, 35 Automatic Weather Stations installed in and around Delhi will help to monitor weather conditions round the clock. Very Short range Venue specific Forecasts, will be made available every three hours. A four tier system of weather forecast and information system has been planned for the Games. A 24-hour control room will be established at the Mausam Bhavan to provide these services through website, email, fax and telephone.
