Met Dept forecasts heavy to very heavy rainfall in parts of coastal districts of South Gujarat, Saurashtra for next 2-days

In Gujarat, India meteorology Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in parts of coastal districts of South Gujarat and Saurashtra for the next two days.<br />''<br />''According to the IMD forecast, the remnant of Cyclone Gulab created a low pressure area over South Gujarat region and is likely to intensify into a depression by tomorrow morning and then into cyclonic storm in the next 24 hours.<br />''<br />''Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea till 2nd October. Gujarat Maritime Board has issued warning signal No 3 to all the major and minor ports in view of the cyclonic storm. All the 13 coastal districts have been put on alert and asked to restrict tourist activities for the next two days.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #000000;">Meanwhile, heavy rain lashed various coastal parts of Saurashtra and south Gujarat districts namely Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath , Bharuch, Navsari, valsad and Tapi todayleading to waterlogging at many places. Major dams in the state including Bhadar, Ukai, Machhu are overflowing following the consistent inflow of water.</span><br />
