Many parts of the country continue to sizzle under intense heat wave conditions. <br/><br/>In Uttar Pradesh, people continued to suffer under severe heatwave conditions with Jhansi being hottest in the state at 47.2 degrees Celsius.<br/><br/>Punjab and Haryana continued to reel under blistering heat with Amritsar being the hottest in the two states at 46 degrees Celsius. The weather in Rajasthan remained dry and temperatures fell by one to two degrees in most places.<br/><br/>Heatwave conditions prevailed at many places in Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.<br/><br/>Delhiites can expect relief from the scorching heat as weathermen has predicted thunderstorm with rain today in the national capital and adjoing areas. <br/><br/>The maximum temperature hovered around 44.6 degree Celsius yesterday and the minimum was recorded at 33.6 degree Celsius.<br/><br/>Cloudy and windy conditions brought the temperature down in some places of Bihar, which has been in the grip of scorching heat for the past several days. Met department has forecast partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunderstorm today in most parts of Bihar.<br/><br/>IMD will release the Second Stage Updating of Long Range Forecasting of Monsoon today.
