<span style="color: #222222;">Kerala Disaster Management Authority has issued an alert for heatwave as the State continues to reel under extremely hot weather.<br />''<br />'' The weather department has forecast higher day temperatures in six districts today. Kollam, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Thrissur, Kozhikode, and Kannur districts may record a maximum of forty degrees Celsius. The State has been experiencing severe dry weather in recent days.<br />''<br />''Meanwhile, IMD has also issued a yellow alert with a heatwave warning atleast for the next two days in Konkan region and Mumbai and its adjoining areas. IMD has issued guidelines for people to follow in heatwave conditions which include avoiding direct exposure to sunlight, especially between 12Noon and 3 PM, drinking enough fluids among others. High temperature prevailed for the second day yesterday with mercury rising to nearly 39 degrees which is nearly 6 degrees above normal.     </span><br />
