Icy winds blowing from the snow-capped mountains in northern states continue to grip New Delhi today with mercury dipping to the season's lowest of 6.1 degree Celsius. Met officials have predicted a further fall in temperature with mercury likely to touch 6 degree Celsius tomorrow while the maximum will be around 22 degree Celsius.<br/> <br/>Met officials said snowfall in the upper reaches of Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir has brought down the temperature and cold conditions will continue to prevail in the coming days. In central India the temperatures were 2 to 3 degrees Celsius below normal while the maximum temperature was recorded 2 to 4 degrees above normal over parts of Gujarat, Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh.<br/> <br/>While Amritsar recorded 5.2 degrees celsius at 5.30 am today, Dehradun recorded 5.6 degrees, Imphal in north-east recorded 4.6 degrees and Srinagar recorded -2.6 degrees celsius.<br/><br/>
