Mercury fell in most parts of north India reviving cold wave. In Jammu and Kashmir where mercury further dipped at many places for the third consecutive day today, Srinagar recorded a minimum of minus 2.6 degrees Celsius. <br/><br/>Kargil and Leh in Ladakh region reeled under cold conditions with a minimum of minus 17.2 degree Celsius and minus 16.2 degree Celcius.<br/><br/>However, mercury rose in Jammu region and settled at a low of 7.6 degree CelsiusCold conditions also intensified in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh with minimum temperatures at some places falling by up to three notches below normal. <br/><br/>The Met office has forecast rainfall at isolated places in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, while mainly dry weather would prevail in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan.
