The entire eastern UP is in the grip of intense cold wave as mercury dipped four to five degrees celsius below normal in several cities. Light rain has been recorded in Gorakhpur, Azamgarh, Basti and Varanaasi division during last 24 hours. Gorakhpur recorded minimum temperature of four point nine degrees celsius. At least three people have succumbed to coldwave in Gorakhpur and Siddharth Nagar districts during last 24 hours. AIR correspondent reports that road and rail traffic has been badly affected due to poor visibility.<br/>
