Citizens of Delhi are having a harrowing time in the wake of extreme heat wave. The mercury seems to be rising steadily with each passing day. The maximum temperature for today settled at a high of 41.2 degree Celsius 40.1 degree Celsius at Palam and Safdarjung respectively.<br/><br/>Hot winds continue to blow across the capital Our correspondent reports that people try to confine themselves to indoors and venture out only after dusk.Erratic supply of water and its quality is a hot debate.<br/><br/>Students in particular have to face the brunt of escalating mercury as well as the schools close when the heat is blazing. Frequent power cuts have also compounded the woes of the common man.
