Mercury again shots up to over 40 degrees Celsius in UP

After a brief interval of about one week, the mercury has again shot up to over 40 degrees Celsius in Uttar Pradesh. AIR Gorakhpur correspondent quoting official sources reports that during last 24 hours the maximum temperature remained over 41 degrees in Allahabad and Varanasi while at rest of the places it hovered between 38 and 40. Temperature remained between 31 to 33 degrees Celsius at 8:30 this morning at most of the places. The people faced hardship today as hot wind is blowing in the central and eastern region. In most of the districts weather is dry with clear sky. The met office has predicted about 2 degree rise in temperature during next 48 hours.<br/>Squall with thundershowers had hit the state last week bringing some respite from scorching heat. <br/>
