India beat Canada, 4-0, in their opening group match of Men's Junior Hockey World Cup at Lucknow this evening. Mandeep Singh, Harmanpreet Singh, Varun Kumar and Ajit Pandey were the goal scorers as India topped Pool-D after the first day.Earlier in the other Pool-D game, England had defeated South Africa, 4-2.In Pool-C, New Zealand got the better of Japan 1-0, while defending champions Germany beat Spain, 2-1.Top 16 teams of the world are participating in the competition. Pakistan is not taking part.India will play its second group game against England on Saturday.
