Member of Parliament killed in Afghanistan

In Afghanistan, a Member of the Upper House of Parliament was killed today when he drove through a police ambush set for Taliban militants in the north of the country. Mohammad Younus, also known as Shirin Agha, was returning home early morning when the incident occurred in Puli Khumri, capital of Baghlan province.Mr Younus failed to stop at the police check post and the police opened fire. His driver was killed along with him. Afghan officials said an investigation has been ordered into the incident.
