The Lok Sabha Speaker, Mrs. Meira Kumar will start consultations from Thursday in a bid to break the impasse over the JPC issue. Some party leaders have been invited on Thursday and Left and some others will go on Friday. The congress Spokesman Shakeel Ahamed said that the party will participate in the discussions on Thursday. He urged the opposition to participate in the discussions. The leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj has said that BJP would participate. She, however, asserted that the party remains firm on its demand for a JPC. The government has rejected the demand saying PAC is the right panel to look into the issue. Our correspondent reports that the Lok Sabha speaker aims at to bring about a compromise between the opposition and the government.
