The Lok Sabha speaker Mrs. Meira Kumar is meeting the leaders of all political parties ahead of winter session of parliament beginning tomorrow.
The meeting has been convened for seeking cooperation from all political parties for smooth functioning of Parliament so that important legislations could be taken up.
The meeting at the parliament house is being attended by major political parties including Congress, BJP, BSP, CPI, CPM, TMC among others.
Talking to reporters JD(U) chief Sharad Yadav said that meeting is still on and mood among the opposition is that Parliament should function smoothly. He, however without referring to FDI issue, said that government should not insist on any single issue.
AIR correspondent reports, that Lokpal bill, Whistle Blowers Protection and Reservation for Women in Parliament and State legislature’s bills are among the twenty five important legislations lined up by the UPA Government for passage in the Winter session of Parliament.
