In Uttar Pradesh, Meher Alam, a terror suspect in the Patna serial blasts was rearrested near Kanpur today and was taken into custody by NIA. He had fled from Muzaffarpur of Bihar while being brought from Darbhanga district. According to sources, Alam was said to be travelling in Delhi bound Rajdhani Express.

AIR correspondent quoting sources reports that after he managed to slip, the NIA had filed a missing person report and claimed that he is not a terror suspect but a witness in the Patna blasts case.
