Meghalaya to conduct random antigen testing throughout state in 71 clusters

In Meghalaya, the State Government has decided to conduct random antigen testing throughout the State in 71 clusters as per the suggestions made by the Health Department.<br />''<br />''Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said that this decision was made after monitoring the situation and considering the inputs furnished by the Health Department. He said that the random testing by Antigen kit will be starting very soon.<br />''<br />''He said that there are about 7000 COVID-19 community management teams and the teams will assist the health officials during the testing. He further informed that over 40,000 rapid antigen kits are already available in the State and over 1.5 lakh test kits will be reaching the State.<br />''<br />''The Deputy Chief Minister further warned the public not to stigmatize medical professionals and residents of containment areas when it comes to medical treatments as there were reports of people being denied medical care and facilities. He said that such actions should be reported to the authorities immediately and action will be taken up as per the law.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' Meanwhile, Health Minister AL Hek informed that four people recovered today taking the total number of recovered people to 82. He said 19 cases were detected today taking the total active cases to 448.</span><br />
