To give a boost to sports in Meghalaya, the Sport and Youth Affairs department has been upgraded to the level of a full fledged Directorate.The Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Zenith M. Sangma gave this information in the assembly today. Earlier this department was existing as Sports cell in the Office of the Director of Public Instruction.
