Meghalaya reported another COVID-19 death last evening, taking the total number of fatalities in the state to six. According to Director of Health Services Dr Aman War, the deceased aged 46 years passed away at the North Eastern Regional Institute of Health and Medical Science (NEIGRIHMS) in Shillong.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''He informed that the patient was admitted to NEIGRIHMS as he was suffering from chronic kidney failure. He was tested positive for COVID-19.<br />''Meanwhile, 17 new COVID-19 cases were reported today taking the total number of active cases to 594. Among the new cases, 12 civilians were from East Khasi Hills district, two from North Garo Hills district and three BSF personnel from West Garo Hills district.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Twelve COVID-19 patients also recovered taking the total number of recovered persons to 423. Among those recovered four were from East Khasi Hills district, seven from Ri-Bhoi and one from West Jaintia Hills district.</span><br />
