<span style="color: #222222;">In Meghalaya, five new COVID-19 cases were detected today taking the total number of active cases to 572. Out of those five cases, two are Armed Force personnel from East Khasi Hills district, one from Ri-Bhoi and two BSF personnel from West Garo Hills district.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">With the five new cases, the total number of active cases in Meghalaya stands at 572 which includes 291 civilians, 246 BSF personnel, 35 Armed Force personnel. In the State 207 COVID 19 patients have so far recovered with five deceased cases.  </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, the State Government has decided not to extend the three-day lockdown which was imposed in Shillong city and its urban areas.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The three-day lockdown which began from Monday will not be further extended, stated Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong after a review meeting today.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He however said that random Antigen testing will be aggressively conducted in all the 71 clusters that were earlier identified across the State.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He urged the citizens of Meghalaya to not be complacent as the situation is not conducive so far and requested everyone to be vigilant and adhere to the SOPs issued by the Government.</span><br />''  <br />
