In Meghalaya, political parties are holding rallies to woo voters ahead of assembly polls.Congress, BJP, United Democratic Party, National People's Party, NCP and HSPDP among others have geared up their campaign.<br/><br/>Polling for the 60 members assembly seats will be held on 27th of this month. 12th of February is the last day of withdrawal of nomination papers. Meanwhile, state Election department has undertaken various awareness measures to ensure participation of new voters in the election process.<br/><br/>The CEO of Meghalaya said that there are nearly 87 thousand first time voters in 18 – 19 age category. He said that efforts are being made to ensure that first-time voters exercise their voting rights.
