<span style="color: #222222;">Meghalaya and other neighbouring states have been continuously receiving heavy to very heavy rainfall. During the last 24 hours, Cherrapunji in Meghalaya recorded 370 mm of rain fall. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">State Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Kyrmen Shylla has asked all district administrations to set up emergency operation centres for prompt response to any natural calamity. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR correspondent reports, in Meghalaya, Incessant rainfall for the past five days has triggered flash floods and landslides in several places, causing damage to infrastructure and crippling normal life. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The situation is also grim in the low lying areas of the West Garo and khasi Hills district as many rivers are flowing above the danger mark and people living in low-lying areas have been advised to evacuate. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">A flood-like situation has emerged in different low-lying areas  of the state due to water logging whereas several far flung villages in the state are cut off from capital Shillong as roads were damaged in a flash flood. </span><br />
