Meghalaya: Leaders of political parties hold multiple election rallies to garner support for their candidates

<span style="color: #222222;">In poll bound Meghalaya star campaigners and senior leaders of all political parties are holding multiple election rallies to garner the support for their candidates.  Leaders of BJP, NPP, TMC and Congress on Friday addressed several public meetings. AIR correspondent reports, besides issues of corruption and unemployment, regional party VPP, UDP and HSPDP leaders are also raising issues of protection of rights and culture of indigenous people.<br />'' <br />'' Senior TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee held rallies in Ampati and William Nagar Assembly Segments where he targeted Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma. He alleged that Chief Minister Sangma has deprived youths of employment and respectful life and he has no courage to fight for his own people. Senior BJP leader and Union minister Sarbananda Sonowal addressed a public meeting in Tikrikilla in West Garo Hills. Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma and Deputy Chief Minister B Prestone Tynsong addressed rallies in Rajbala, Kharkutta and Jirang in support of NPP candidates. Senior Congress leader Vincent H Pala addressed public meetings in Jaintia Hill regions where claimed that people of Meghalaya are looking towards Congress and the party is going to form the next government.<br />'' <br />''Polling would be held on the 27th of February in all 60 assembly segments.</span><br />
