<span style="color: #222222;">In Meghalaya, Indigo Airlines today began its Kolkata-Shillong-Kolkata service at the Umroi Airport with Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, Transport Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar and other MLAs including officials being passengers of the inaugural flight which landed Saturday evening.<br />'' <br />'' The Chief Minister said that regular flight service move will pave the way for the growth of tourism and other sectors of the State. "It is not something which is enough and we are hoping that many more flights will start," he said while informing that the next target of the Meghalaya Government is to connect Shillong with New Delhi and other metropolitan cities of the country and the Government is already working on that line. <br />''<br />''Stating that the flight service will boost the tourism sector in the state, he said that the aircraft was almost 90 per cent full in its inaugural run. It may be mentioned that the lone airport of Meghalaya, Umroi Airport was covered under the UDAAN scheme of the Central Government launched to boost regional connectivity.</span>
