Following a meeting with representatives and village headmen of Mawlai area today at Shillong, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma informed that the Chairperson of the Meghalaya Human Rights Commission will be heading the judicial inquiry set up to investigate the killing of former Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) General Secretary by the police on August 13.<br />''<br />''The Chief Minister said that the representatives submitted a memorandum which will be looked into. He added that the demands of the people will be met and the Government has decided to shift the temporary CRPF camp located at Mawlai area to a permanent location. Once the reports of the judicial inquiry come in, all appropriate actions will be taken in terms of suspension, the Chief Minister added.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #000000;">Meanwhile, representatives of Mawlai areas said that the meeting was a disappointment as the State Government has failed to give the people a clear-cut strategy to solve the issue. Samran Syiem, a representative stated that they have given the State Government seven days time to suspend police officials involved in the killing of former HNLC General Secretary Cheristerfield Thangkiew. He demanded that justice should be served to people.</span><br />
