In Meghalaya, the State Government held talks with the armed forces in the wake of the personnel based in the state testing COVID-19 positive. It has also directed the State Chief Secretary to write to the Ministry of Home Affairs to put on hold all types of transfer and postings of armed forces personnel.<br />'' <br />'' Meghalaya Health Minister A L Hek said that the State Government held several rounds of meetings already with the heads of the armed forces stationed in the state to discuss the situation and steps ahead.<br />'' <br />'' The Health Minister also informed that two more positive cases were found who are part of the high-risk contact of the BSF personnel. He said that the total number of positive cases stands at 53 with 42 recovered, 12 active cases. He said that so far 19,646 samples are tested, with 19,404 negative, 189 awaited and 19,231 people have returned to the state so far.<br />'' <br />'' Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong also informed that a detailed discussion on packages announced by the Prime Minister was held today in a review meeting.<br />'' <br />''  <br />
