Meghalaya Health Minister informs Health Dept assessing the situation, if required lockdown will be imposed

<span style="color: #222222;">In Meghalaya, State Health Minister A L Hek has informed that the Health Department is assessing the situation and if required lockdown will be imposed in Mawbah area of the city where the COVID death was reported from. This statement came after following the death of a 67-year old woman due to COVID-19.  </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The woman from Mawbah locality of Shillong breathed her last at NEIGRIHMS last night becoming the fifth person to have died due to COVID-19. She was infected with COVID-19 and had no travel history while her daughter also tested positive.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Stating that the situation is heading toward community transmission, the Health Minister informed that authorities are on the job to assess the circumstances that led to the incident and will decide on the way forward in a review meeting today. He further said that the State Government is considering introduction of plasma therapy in Meghalaya.</span><br />''
