<span style="color: #222222;">Meghalaya Government has decided to impose temporary closure of various entry points to the State from midnight of July 23rd up-to July 30.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The entry points are Byrnihat, Ratacherra, Bajengdoba, Tikrikilla, Mirjumla and Haldiagunj. Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong informed that except emergency services including medical and essential, transit movements of Assam vehicles will be allowed.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He requested all the returnees to stay back wherever they are during this period as their entry will not be allowed. He added that this is essential to unburden the health and other frontline workers as well as district administration who have been engaged intensively for the past many months.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said that this period will also be utilised to identify a new location for Byrnihat entry point and also to spread awareness on behavioural change. The Government has also decided that permission will not be issued for wedding reception in two districts; East Khasi Hill and Ri- Bhoi district.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Health Minister AL Hek further informed that 28 new positive cases were detected&nbsp;yesterday. He said that the total active case is 297 out of which in East Khasi Hills district there are 261 cases which include 198 BSF personnel, 49 civilians, and 14 Armed Forces personnel.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He further informed that Ri-Bhoi district has 22 cases, two each in East Jaintia Hills and South Garo Hills, eight in West Garo Hills, and one each in East Garo Hills and North Garo Hills district.</span>&nbsp;<br />
