As COVID 19 cases continue to increase unabated, Meghalaya Government is looking towards the communities to help combat the pandemic.<br />''<br />''Health Minister Prestone Tynsong informed media after a meeting today that all the Deputy Commissioners of the State has been asked to conduct consultative discussions with traditional heads, dorbar shnongs, and community leaders to work jointly at the grassroots level to decrease the rate of transmission which has remained high compared to other States.<br />''<br />''The Health Minister called upon all the people to get vaccinated and follow the SOPs.<br />''<br />''Presently about 45 percent of the population in Meghalaya has been vaccinated which is comparatively low.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #000000;">The Health Minister also informed that the State Government will invest in private hospitals to ramp up oxygen supply systems and ICU beds.</span><br />
