<span style="color: #222222;">Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has said that the delay in holding official talks with the Assam Government to solve the long-pending boundary dispute between the two states is due to its complex nature.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Addressing media persons today at Shillong, the Chief Minister said that before the new leadership took over in Assam, many discussions have been held.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Stating that the Ministry of Home Affairs has asked both the State Governments to resolve the boundary issues, unofficial talks on the issue is still going on.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Informing that there is no simple solution to the decade-old issue, the Chief Minister maintained that an amicable solution which is acceptable to the people of both the states will be found out.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He stated that it is the endeavour of the Government of Meghalaya to bring an end to the boundary dispute with Assam before the country celebrates its 75th Independence Day.</span><br />''  <br />
