<span style="color: #222222;">In Meghalaya, the final semester examination of all colleges under the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) will be held from October 7, 2020, and the University will issue a routine for the exam.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Education Minister Lakhmen Rymbui told media that in view of the increasing COVID 19 cases and taking into consideration the Supreme Court ruling that exam must be held, the State Government after holding discussions with NEHU recently had written to the University Grants Commission (UGC) expressing its inability to conduct the final semester examinations within September 30.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Government had requested the UGC to allow the State Government to conduct examinations in NEHU in October with a commitment that results would be declared by October 30, he added. The UGC had agreed to the date of examinations proposed by the Government.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">NEHU authorities have informed the Government that examinations will be held on October 7, 9, 12, 14 and 16 and results would be declared by the end of October.</span><br />''
