Meghalaya Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui has informed that the validity of the Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test (MTET) will now be for lifetime.<br />''<br />''Earlier, the validity of those who have cleared MTET was two years but a recent notification from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has made it for lifetime.<br />''<br />''The Education Minister informed that notification from the State Government will also, be issued by this week, and said that candidates who have cleared the MTET earlier won't have to sit for the exams again.<br />''<br />''Concerning the MTET examination, the Education Minister also informed that the itinerary for the MTET exam was already published but due to the pandemic it was postponed. He stated that as further relaxations are enforced a new notification will be issued to fix the dates for the exams.<br />''<br />''He said that candidates who have cleared the MTET exams but did not clear the personal interview will have to reapply whenever there is a vacancy.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #000000;">The Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test is a state-level examination conducted by Directorate of Educational Research and Training, Shillong.
