Meghalaya comes out with balanced approach towards functioning of educational institutions

<span style="color: #222222;">Meghalaya Government has come out with a balanced approach towards the functioning of educational institutions in the state without laying down any strict condition in view of the prevailing pandemic.<br />'' <br />'' In a notification, the Education Department said that regular classroom activities in schools, colleges and other educational institutions would remain closed till the 30th of this month. Although regular classes shall remain closed, certain restrictions would be lifted from 21st September, only for students from Class 9th to 12th.<br />'' <br />'' Students are permitted to visit their schools, in areas outside containment zones only, on a voluntary basis for taking guidance from their teachers. Schools will be permitted to open for activities, such as teacher-student counselling, clearing doubts, addressing hard spots, sharing unit lesson plans, assignments, submission of works, student assessment.<br />''<br />''The students will have to get written consent of their parents or guardians to visit the schools, colleges and educational institutions.</span><br />
