Meghalaya CM welcomes Amit Shah's push for learning Hindi

<span style="color: #222222;">Amid the debate over Union Home Minister Amit Shah's remark to make Hindi an alternative to English, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has welcomed the push for learning Hindi, saying that it will aid accessibility in the national job market.<br />''<br />''The Chief Minister stated that learning a language is something that gives accessibility and when it comes to the world market in terms of employment English is very important, so one has to be professional in English. But, when it comes to the national level, Hindi is the largest spoken language, he added. He further said that research and documentation should be done and funds should be given by the Central Government to put up institutes to promote the local languages. The Chief Minister stated that one should not create a position and a stand and just say that they don't want to learn Hindi. He said that one should look at what is going to be in the best interest of the youngsters.</span><br />
