Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has informed that a discussion was held with his Assam counterpart on Saturday to discuss the long-pending border dispute and other issues concerning both the States. He stated that though the discussion was informal, the Assam Chief Minister has agreed to move forward with the talks relating to the boundary issue during his visit in Shillong on 23rd July one day prior to the Union Home Minister Amit Shah's visit. He further said that both Assam and Meghalaya is keen on solving the boundary dispute in an amicable manner that is acceptable to both sides.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #000000;">He also confirmed that the Meghalaya Government will stick to its 12 disputed areas. He further added that they will have some exchange of presentation during the meeting on 23rd July. And after this meeting again they will have another official meeting in Guwahati though the date is not been fixed yet, informed the Chief Minister.</span><br />
