Meghalaya Chief Minister Mukul Sangma today flagged off the Run for North East in Shilllong marking the arrival of the relay torch of the 12th South Asian Games (SAG). The games will be held in Guwahati and Shillong from February 5.Dr Sangma flagged off the 5 km mini marathon from the Fire Brigade ground in the presence of a host of dignitaries and hundreds of people who had gathered to be part of the multi-national sports event.Five-time World Amateur Boxing Champion Mary Kom and former world champion in lightweight class boxing Sarita Devi and Bollywood star Milind Soman, Meghalaya ministers and SAG officials were among those who attended the Run for North East.
