In Meghalaya, following an increase in the number of COVID- 19 cases in BSF Camp, Umpling, Shillong, the State Government has declared the area a containment zone and all protocols and SOPs have been enforced.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong informed that the situation is grim in the area and so the area has been declared as containment zone after due discussion with District Authorities and the BSF. The random testing will be carried out in Umpling-Rynjah, Nongmensong and Mawpat areas. Director of Health Services Dr Aman War will hold consultative meetings with the local headman of the areas and start the antigen testing by tomorrow, he added.<br />''<br />''Meanwhile, Health Minister A L Hek informed that the number of active positive case stands at 124. Giving a break up of the 124 cases, he informed in East Khasi Hills district there are 102 cases out of which 91 are BSF personnel, two Indian Air Force personnel and nine civilians; 15 in Ri-Bhoi district; six in West Garo Hills district and one in East Jaintia Hills district.
