In Meghalaya, six family members of the Bethany Hospital doctor, who passed away in Shillong early hours today, have tested positive for COVID-19. Earlier, Meghalaya's first COVID-19 patient passed away at Bethany Hospital this morning. The doctor who used to treat patients at Bethany Hospital units in Shillong and Nongpoh, had tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday. <br />''  <br />'' The doctor was the owner of Bethany Hospital and was 69 years of age. Confirming the demise, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said in a tweet that the first COVID-19 positive patient in Meghalaya passed away this morning at 2:45 a.m. He said, of the 68 tested so far, six family members tested positive and six other cases are being retested. This is the second death due to COVID-19 in the North East. Earlier, another patient died in Silchar Medical College Hospital in South Assam.<br />''  <br />
