In Meghalaya, the banned militant outfit Hynñiewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) has once again decided to give peace a chance and are now open for peace talks without any pre-conditions.<br />'' <br />'' In a statement, HNLC General secretary cum Publicity secretary, Saiñkupar Nongtraw has stated that after receiving a lot of request in the last few days from elders and social organisations they (HNLC) have decided to give peace a chance once again.<br />'' <br />'' The statement said, after much consultation with some elders recently, we have decide to come into a peaceful agreement with the Government of Meghalaya and the Government of India. As of now we are ready to talk within the ambit of the Indian constitution and we are ready to have talks without any preconditions, the statement said.<br />''<br />''The statement further urged the Government to immediately appoint an interlocutor officially and show its seriousness for peace talks. The outfit has been responsible for series of bomb blast in the city in the recent past.
