The eleven-day Budget Session of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly will begin today with the customary address of Governor, R.S. Mooshahary. Nine days have been allotted for transaction of Government Business and two for Private Members’ Business. The Speaker will announce the names of the members nominated by him to the Panel of Chairmen to preside over during the session. On the first day of the session, there will be the Presentation of Supplementary Demands for Grants and the Supplementary Appropriation 2011-2012, introduction of Government Bills and Obituary References. The budget will be passed on the last day of the Session
