<span style="color: #222222;">In Meghalaya, the three-day-long North East Food Show which can be dubbed as the biggest ever food show of the region began today at Polo Grounds, Shillong.<br />” <br />” The first-ever North East Food Show was inaugurated by Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma in the presence of delegates from different countries including Director SIAL India Adeline Vancauwelaert.<br />” <br />” The Chief Minister during the inaugural session said the food show will provide a strong platform and network to different stakeholders.<br />” <br />” There are different technologies and products relating to the food industry which people are not aware of, and the show will serve as the bridge to connect with one another.<br />” <br />” Mr Sangma said, the State Government will initiate steps to make this show an annual event and expand it in the coming years, not only limited to the North East and its neighbouring countries but like to spread it across to the entire South-East Asian countries.<br />” <br />” The North-East Food Show is a platform for entrepreneurs of the North-East to meet and interact with National and global majors of the Food & Beverage Industry to better understand, build connections, anticipate consumer needs and familiarize themselves with the latest trends in the industry for export promotion and up-scaling their businesses to global standards.<br />” <br />” It will also be an opportunity for these majors to source products not available anywhere else and to introduce their products to the region.<br />”<br />”The North East Food Show is being jointly organized by the Meghalaya Government in association with SIAL India and Inter Ads Exhibitions Private Limited.</span>
