Mega exercise of Shramik special trains continues to carry migrants labourers, students to home states

<span style="color: #222222;">Ministry of Railways has clarified that few Special trains which are being run for migrant workers, pilgrims, tourists, students and other persons stranded at different places, are being operated  on  request of State governments.<br />'' <br />'' It said, all  other passenger train services will remain suspended and Railways is only accepting passengers brought and facilitated by State Governments. No  other group of traveler or individual are allowed to come to station to travel  and  no tickets  are being sold at any station, it added.<br />'' <br />'' Railways are not running any train other than being requisitioned by State Governments. It said, all  other passenger and suburban trains remain suspended and  therefore, no one  should come to Railway Station. The Ministry said, no one should spread any false news about it.<br />'' <br />'' The first lot of 1200 stranded and migrant labourers who reached Hatia Railway station from Telangana late night yesterday have safely reached to their respective home districts. All migrant workers have been medically screened, inked with non-washable home-quarantined stamp on their hands. After a warm welcome at their home towns, most of them have been medically examined, thermal screens and provided with necessary food supply and ration stock for coming two weeks of extended Lockdown till May 17 by the respective district administrations.<br />'' <br />'' Meanwhile, another train from Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station will depart tonight for Hatia Station in Ranchi to bring back another set of 1200 migrant labourers under the Special Shramik Trains run by Ministry of Railways. Preparations for sending labourers to Jharkhand from Kerala is being carried out by Kerala state police officials. Whereas, Ranchi district administration is continuously taking stock of preparedness for receiving the first batch of students who have departed by special train from Kota in Rajasthan yesterday evening. Information about students present in train coaches has been disseminated to guardians for obtaining necessary passes to bring back their wards. One such train carrying 942 children will reach Ranchi today from Kota while the other train shall depart tomorrow for its destination at Dhanbad district.<br />'' <br />'' Jharkhand state government earlier in its meeting had decided to bring back every individual stranded outside the State.<br />'' <br />'' As part of action plan to transport labourers in a phased manner, buses are being sent to neighbouring states of Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh to bring almost 34,000 workers stranded in these States back to Jharkhand. While special trains would remain the medium to bring back stranded labourers from far-off distant states.</span><br />''  <br />
