Meeting between top BCCI, PCB officials end without any conclusive outcome at Dubai

The meeting between the top BCCI and Pakistan Cricket Board officials ended without any conclusive outcome at Dubai today, after the Indian government refused to give clearance for any bilateral series with Pakistan. The BCCI official met with their Pakistani counterparts to discuss the pressing issues including the 60 million US Dollar compensation demanded by the PCB. PCB has demanded compensation from BCCI for not adhering to an MoU, which stated that the two nations would play five bilateral series in eight-year cycle between 2015-2023. BCCI has asked PCB to withdraw compensation claim. Earlier today Sports Minister Vijay Goel said India can not play bilateral series with Pakistan till the terrorism from Pakistan remains. Mr Goel said terrorism and cricket cannot go hand in hand. As of now, India will only play Pakistan in ICC tournaments.
