In Karnataka, hectic parleys are on before Jagadish Shetter assumes charge as new Chief Minister. The State incharge General secretary of BJP Mr.Dharmendra Pradhan held discussions with the important leaders since morning. He also held consultatio with outgoing Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda, the state unit President K S Eshwarappa and several Ministers and MLAs at the BJP office.

BJP sources said that efforts are on to thrash out differences between factions for allotment of portfolios in the new Government to be headed by Jagadish Shetter. The Central BJP leaders Mr.Arun Jaitley and Mr.Rajnath Singh will arrive in Bangalore tonight to monitor the transition through legislative party meeting that is likely to be held tomorrow morning.

Legislators Muniraju and Ashwathnarayana expressed dismay at the decision to remove Sadanand Gowda. They said their feelings will be conveyed to the Central leaders. Former Prime Minister and JD(S) supremo Deve Gowda has said that Sadanand Gowda has been made a scape goat due to caste politics.
