Medical practitioners in Maharashtra appeal people to get themselves vaccinated with COVID-19 preventive vaccine

In Maharashtra's Kolhapur, medical practitioners including the homeopathic doctors and psychiatrists have come forward in appealing people to get themselves vaccinated with the COVID-19 preventive vaccine. The presidents and representatives of the private medical organisations in Kolhapur said that they will first get themselves immunised without any kind of fear.<br />''<br />''AIR Correspondent reports, Dr. Harshavardhan Jagtap, President of the Homeopathic Organisation in Kolhapur said that the Covishield vaccine is safe and all should get immunised by it. He also said that the vaccine will boost the immunity of a person. <br />''<br />''Dr. Padmaraj Patil, President of the Kolhapur Psychiatrists Association said that once the frontline workers are vaccinated in the first phase it will instill confidence among general masses to get themselves immunised. Other senior medical practitioners also said that there are no side-effects of the vaccine and people should take shots without fear to eradicate the virus. <br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, in Navi Mumbai 50 vaccination centres are being set up by the city civic body. The city municipal corporation has received a stock of 21 thousand vaccine doses to inoculate 19,085 frontline workers. On the other hand in Nagpur division, one lakh 14 thousand doses of Covishield vaccine are being received to inoculate more than 93 thousand health workers from government and private hospitals. </span><br />
