The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has indicated that he is in touch with the highest level of Chinese Government and media reports on the India-China border are reflection of the inadequate flow of information from his government. Talking to reporters at Iftihar Party in New Delhi on Friday evening, Dr. Singh said this will be rectified. When asked about reports of incursions by Chinese into Indian territory along the Line of Actual Control, he pointed out that the border is long and some times incidents do take place.On the latest reports that Pakistan had acted against the Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist the mastermind behind Mumbai terrorist attack, Dr. Singh said it is a small step forward.Meanwhile, Army Chief Gen. Deepak Kapoor on Saturday said there is no increase in the number of Chinese incursions into Indian territory. The Army Chief said that army is responding suitably to cease fire violations by Pakistan. He asserted that the forces are alert to foil any infiltration bid from across the border.Meanwhile, the Prime Minister and the Home Minister have described the filing of the FIR's against the mastermind of Mumbai terror attacks Hafiz Sayed as a small step forward. The Home minister Mr. P. Chidambaram however urged Pakistan to interrogate and investigate his role in Mumbai carnage. Mr. Chidambaram said Pakistan has to demostrate its determination to punish the culprits responsible for Mumbai terror attacks after a fair trial.
