Union Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi says several media organisations are exploiting educated youths through the contract system by paying low wages. Inaugurating the joint convention of Kerala Union of Working Journalists and Kerala Newspaper Employees Federation in Kochi today, he suggested that there is a need to legally remove the shortcomings in the contract system.He said steps will be taken to implement the recommendations of the Wage Board headed by Justice G R Majithia, once it is received by the union government.
