Information & broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu has said media should not mix news and views at a time, they needs to practice self regulation for the sake of national interest. <br/><br/>Delivering the key note address on role of media in corporate social responsibility in Bhubaneswar on Saturday Mr.Naidu, urged them to desist from sensationalising news. <br/><br/>Sharing his views on media's role in performing social responsibility, the information and broadcasting minister said the media should play like a partner in the progress of the country and programmes initiated by the Narendra Modi government and has to play a crucial role in inclusive development.<br/><br/>He said the challenge before the media is to ensure quality, credibility and responsibility. <br/><br/>Mr. Naidu said information is a great ammunition to fight poverty, inequality, corruption and even terrorism. <br/><br/>Rejecting the politics of dynasty, Mr Naidu said politics should be based on character, caliber of an individual.
