In Nepal, the Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ), the umbrella organisation of professional journalists in the Himalayan nation today began a week-long protest movement demanding security for working journalists following brutal attack on a woman reporter recently. As a part of the protest movement, women journalists took out a rally in Kathmandu and other places today demanding stringent action against culprits involved in the attack on Rukum based woman journalist Tika Bista, security for all working journalists and end to the culture of impunity. Our correspondent reports, the Rajdhani daily Correspondent Tika Bista, in her early 20s was stabbed by an unidentified group of miscreants in Rukum.
